SWIM
Your journey will begin with an out-of-the-water start. The shallow 375m distance will be swum counter-clockwise over a triangular-shaped course. Keep the buoys on your left. Water temperatures at this time of the year range from 72-75 degrees. Wetsuits are optional.

BIKE
This exciting 11km single-loop course is relatively flat and fast. Helmets are mandantory! Helmets must be properly fastened before the bike is taken off the bike rack. Do not mount the bicycle until you have reached the mount line at County Rd. 50. The course will be open to traffic, so please keep to the right side of the road, moving over only to pass another cyclist. The helmet must not be taken off until after the bike is on the bike rack upon finishing the bike leg.

NO DRAFTING

Remember, this is a non-drafting event. Competitors who are caught drafting will be peer-pressured into performing embarrassing activities during the post-race festivities. Your pride and honour are at stake, so NO DRAFTING!

RUN
The final leg will be a 2.6km run through cottage country. The surface includes grass, dirt roads, gravel roads, and pavement. It will be a single-loop course. The finish line will be next to the trampoline. Way to go Beginners, you have just completed your first triathlon.

For those in the Double Triathlon: Upon finishing the first run, double tri participants will run through the finish line where their splits will be taken. You will then enter the transition area at the beach entrance. Waste no time in removing shoes and putting goggles back on. Now proceed in the same fashion as the first super sprint. The water will provide welcome relief. Many of you will be surprised at how sluggish you will feel those first few strokes. After the swim, follow the same bike and run, and hammer hard to the finish. This super sprint x 2 will test your transition skills. So big secret: practice those transitions before the race.
